Q: Is there a minimum age for rentals?

A: Yes, due to safety and liability reasons, the person renting the equipment must be at least 18 years of age. There is no age limit for using the equipment as long as there is a parent or guardian over the age of 18 accompanying any minors.

Q: Do I need to put down a deposit?

A: When making reservations for $100 or less of equipment, a $30 dollar charge (done thru the “buy now” buttons on our PRICING page) will be needed to hold the equipment and to schedule the drop off/ pick up times. The balance can be paid at the time of the rental. In cases of same day cancellations or ‘no shows’, sorry, but the $30 deposit is non-refundable. In situations where the weather or other conditions make being on the water unsafe the rental time or date can be rescheduled by arrangement.  Unfortunately, due to our lack of control over the elements, there are no weather related refunds.*

When making reservations for over $100 of rental equipment, half the price of the rental will be charged as a deposit (Not to exceed $175) with the balance being paid at or before the time of rental.   We’re sorry, but due to scheduling and a limited amount of available equipment, 48 hour notice is required to receive a full refund*.   Cancellations made 24-48 hours in advance can still be refunded 50% of their deposit. In cases of same day cancellations the full deposit is non-refundable, but can still be applied to another available time.

Q: How long can we use the rental gear?

A: ALL DAY, which is until sunset (or later with prior arrangement*)

Q: What should I bring?

A: Whatever you want! But due to potentially very hot conditions I recommend: Lots of water, sun block, sun glasses, food, water shoes or sandals (in case you want to walk along the shore), a hat- and if you want to bring your phone, a water proof phone case (we may have ones to borrow, but please ask when making reservations).
